The Evening School was started with the dream of helping these under-privileged children by providing them with basic education and training to enable them to sustain a livelihood as adults. 32 children were enrolled and one tutor used to provide basic instruction at the school. Slowly with the help of extensive counseling and persuasion, more families learned and appreciated the importance of having their young ones educated and the number of students started to grow. Currently the Evening School’s has 200+ students enrolled with tutors who are committed to not only providing quality education but also mentor the children on other soft skills such as good social behavior, good communication practices etc which will help these children fit better in today’s society. These students will eventually be provided with appropriate skill training which will help them get employment whereby they can achieve economic independence and sustain a livelihood as adults.
